ECDA INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF
The Eastern Cheer and Dance Association Staff is a highly trained group of professionals consisting of some of the Nation's most talented cheerleaders and dancers. ECDA is seeking additional college cheerleaders and dancers, as well as mature graduating high school seniors, to be a part of its Instructional Staff. Employment with ECDA offers endless opportunities to travel, meet new people and be a positive role model for younger cheerleaders and dancers, whil doing what you like to do most--CHEER AND DANCE!
If you are interested in trying out for a position on ECDA's Instructional Staff, please submit a DVD or a VHS video tape to the address below to be reviewed by our Staff Selection Panel.
Videos should contain the following:
Cheer Staff Applicants-
Introduction (brief intro by person submitting video)
2 Cheers
3 Jumps (1 Herkie or Hurdler, 1 Toe Touch and 1 Optional Jump)
30-45 second Dance Segment (Optional for male applicants)
Any Tumbling Skills
Dance Staff Applicants-
Introduction (brief intro by person submitting video)
1 Routine-Demonstrating Precision and Jazz/Funk
1 Routine-Demonstrating Style of Choice
Jumps and Leaps-Toe Touch, Split Leap, Leap in Second, Switch Leap
Turns-Pirouettes, Chaines, Fouettes, Axels

Eastern Cheer and Dance Association has a full-time Staff Director position open in their home office in beautiful South Hill, VA. Current or former cheer and dance instructors are encouraged to apply for this exciting and rewarding position.

Job Description
Main Home Office Contact for ECDA Instruction Staff.
Develop professional relationships with all ECDA Instruction Staff.
Coordinate and Oversee ECDA Staff Training.
Coordinate and Oversee all aspectes of ECDA Curriculum.
Update and Create new curriculum as needed.
Communicate policies and procedures to ECDA Instructional Staff.
Must stay proficient with ECDA, NLCC, and NFHS Guidelines.
Position will require individual to travel to select camps to monitor staff performance.
Position will require individual to travel to ECDA Compeitions (weekends from October-February.)
Requirements
BA or BS in related field preferred (or equivalent educations and relavent experience)
Some College coursework required.
Must have and extensive background in Cheerleading and/or Dance.
Must be highly organized and able to help ensure deadlines are met.
Must demonstrate the ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Microsoft Works a plus.
Highly responsive attitude combined with an ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in pressured situations.
Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
High degree of initiative with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to motivate instructors effectively.
